As the Bulls spectacular season came to an end last week, Scottie Pippen was creating a buzz in the news world. He called Lebron James the greatest player ever to play in the NBA. This was an absurd statement especially coming from the guy who actually played along side Michael Jordan. Most current NBA players, former NBA players, and analyst believe that Michael Jordan is the greatest to ever play the game. Pippen is either finding a way to distract himself from actually believing the Bulls season is over, or he is a complete idiot. The only argument needed to dispute Pippen’s point is that Jordan won 6 championships and Lebron James is currently still searching for his first. Jordan won 6 championships with no other superstars, Scottie was a great player, but not a superstar. Lebron had to move from Cleveland to Miami in order to team up with a superstar in Dwayne Wade, and a very good player in Chris Bosh in order to take the burden off himself. Comparing the two players, Michael Jordan has many more individual awards and more importantly team awards with his championships. Lebron might be the most physically gifted player ever to play in the NBA with his strength, but their is no comparison to the greatest to ever play the game. Scottie must have some beef with Michael right now, because it is shocking to hear from MJ’s sidekick that he believes Lebron is better.

Later on in the week, Pippen decided one stupid statement wasn’t enough. Scottie is currently an ambassador for the Chicago Bulls, and after their lost to the Miami Heat he called out Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer. He said Noah couldn’t make a play, and that Boozer has horrible hands, Pippen argued that Noah and Boozer could not coexist with each other. While some of the things he stated I believe in, it is not right for a person who currently works for the Bulls to go out and bash them. This was the first season Boozer and Noah played together, and during the regular season they barely played many games with each other because of their injuries. It takes time to develop a cohesiveness, and Noah and Boozer only got like 25-30 games with each other. Pippen all season long, believed in this team and kept saying how good they were. Once their season came to an end, he turned bi polar and went completely against everything. For him to say the Bulls can’t win a championship with Boozer and Noah on the team at the same time is ridiculous considering how far they made it this year. This current Bulls team just needs a year or two more to develop good team chemistry as well as timing with each other. Injuries hurt the Bulls early on the season, it may have not seemed that way because Derrick Rose carried them through the regular season, but we saw in the playoffs the their was no consistency out of Boozer or Noah.

Go Mavericks, no one in their right mind wants to see the Heat win the championship, If Lebron finds a way to lose this championship with two other great players, Pippen will look like an idiot, and there will no longer be a comparison to MJ.
