Country Day grad Benson picked by NBA's Hawks

Detroit Country Day School and graduated from Oakland University basketball highlight Keith Benson was selected Thursday night in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft in New Jersey instead.

Benson was, a resident of Farmington Hills taken, 48 overall by the Atlanta Hawks. It is the gold of the Grizzlies are drawn first in the NBA, but not the first country in the cycle in Detroit days.


Benson is one of the top league players twice a year helped lead OU to a better program to 91 victories in four seasons. He also helped lead the Grizzlies to three consecutive seasons with 20 victories and two consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
